This model of Mini has more interior space than I expected, having previously owned a Mini coupe. I am very happy with my new car, it lives up to my expectations in terms of reliability, style, and economy.

Car purchased for daughter. Great car. Stylish and great fun to drive. Good safety features. Firm ride so you feel like your in a go cart which makes the handling feel really precise. Drove it from Hawkes Bay to Wellington and it was surprisingly comfortable.

We bought it as a first car for our daughter and safety was the first consideration. It it a fantastic car and the size and manoeuvrability is a great feature for a learner driver. I’ve also driven it to test it out and I love it ... my daughter better hide her keys :-)

I’m new to a mini and so I am still in the ‘getting to know you’ stage. So can’t say much but I notice its stability in bends. Nice to drive.

The mini is great and it drives exactly like how the old one used to. My boys wanted a fun first car and I wanted a 5* Ancap car which is what it is! So it's a win win!

Make sure there are two keys available on purchase. It is a fun car to drive and is much bigger than you first realise and adults can sit comfortably in the back as well as children

James Herriott
Operations Manager

James joins the team at Chevron in 2022 as our yard hand. He graduated University in 2017 with a bachelor of science in geology.

Despite this James' heart has all ways been in cars. He recalls a time in his childhood when his father would take him around the city to different car yards to see all the cars, he had picked out of the newspaper classifieds the day before. Beginning a lifelong obsession with anything on four wheels.

When James' thoughts aren't about cars you will often find him thinking about them in a much smaller scale. He is often adding to his ever-growing Hot Wheels collection much to his partners disappear. A collection he one day dreams about turning into full scale.

James enjoys much of his time off out attempting to regain control of his garden with the help of his cats Percy and George.
