Love it. Have had my first powerbill and only increased by $10, previously I spent $120 a week on fuel. I have changed my driving habit but it does take time to learn your car and feel confident with the distance you will get from your battery. I now head into town and know that if I am feeling some range anxiety just pop into a quick charge and 10-15 minutes later I am off again. Best purchase ever and I am feeling anyone that will listen. People love going for a drive in it

Having an electric car is fantastic, great on hills and there are more charging points available than you realise.

I'm an ex petrol head who used to joke about my 4WD running on ground up Prius's to wind up my mates dad. But having been in the Leaf for a couple of weeks now I would never look back.

The 2014 Nissan Leaf is very easy to charge and very comfortable to drive, even without taking advantage of all the available installed technology as yet.

It's almost like a space ship inside - so many screens and buttons. A smooth, quiet ride and quick off the mark when you need it. No gears, no petrol, and the silence and stillness waiting at lights. Great!

I love that when you're sitting in traffic congestion your car is happily regenerating and extending the distance you can travel! Gives a real upside to being stuck in traffic!
    —Fiona C - 2014 Nissan LEAF X 24KW

Still getting used to it but overall the whole charging process is relatively simple

We are really enjoying it. We are also enjoying learning how to drive in a different way. Biggest tip is to accept that this is a new mindset.

Jamie Ferrari
General Manager

Jamie joined Chevron Quality Cars in March 2014 and has since become an integral part of the leadership team, known for his driven, people-first approach and deep knowledge of dealership operations. With a strong background in both sales and management, Jamie leads with integrity, passion, and a focus on results—bringing out the best in those around him.

Originally on track to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering after studying Science and Technology, Jamie’s career took a defining turn at age 19 when he stepped into a role at a local car dealership. He quickly recognised the opportunities the automotive industry had to offer and immersed himself in every aspect of the business—from grooming and service through to front-line sales. This hands-on foundation gave Jamie a true understanding of the industry from the ground up, and it's a perspective he draws on daily in his role today.

Jamie is a natural communicator and a values-based leader, respected for his supportive style, honest guidance, and ability to build strong relationships with both his team and customers. He thrives in the dynamic, fast-paced environment of the dealership and is proud to work in a business that shares his own values of integrity, family and long-term commitment.

Jamie’s wife, Keta Ferrari, is also a high achiever in the sales world, with more than a decade in real estate under the Ray White brand. She was recently recognised with Premier Status and a Customer Excellence Award—testament to her hard work and consistent results for clients.

Family sits at the heart of everything Jamie does. Their eldest, Orion, is a proud soldier in the New Zealand Defence Force. Their daughter Bella Rose is in her final year at Marian College while also running her own dog walking business, Happy Tails, and working a second job. With strong ambitions, she plans to enter the New Zealand Police once she finishes her studies. Youngest son Milan is a standout athlete on the basketball court, proudly representing St Bede’s College, and is already showing huge potential in the sport.

Jamie lives by the motto “famiglia dapprima”—Italian for “family first.” A strong believer in routine and self-discipline, you’ll find him in the gym most mornings between 5am and 7am, starting the day with focus and intent.Jamie joined Chevron Quality Cars in March 2014. Leading his team, drawing on the talent Jamie has developed through his extensive sales and management oriented career.

Studying Science and Technology in preparation for a degree in Mechanical Engineering Jamie’s goals and aspirations quickly changed when he found himself working for a local car retailer at the age of 19. Instantly recognizing the opportunities the industry could provide, Jamie’s career path was set in stone from here. This particular role is one Jamie describes as the ideal preparation for his achievements as he was able to learn from the ground up and have direct involvement in all aspects of the business, which included sales, grooming and a service department. The culmination of this business knowledge, sales talent and people skills have ensured Jamie was right as he relishes a successful and rewarding career.

Jamie’s information sharing and supportive approach make him a well-respected and popular Sales Manager amongst his team. Jamie thrives on the interaction with clients and his team on a daily basis and loves the family values and wealth of knowledge now within Chevron.

Married to wife Keta and father to their 3 beautiful, sports oriented children, family is the most important thing to Jamie. His motto is ‘famiglia dapprima’ which in Italian means ‘family first’. Jamie is also fiercely disciplined in the gym, where you will find him lifting weights typically between 5am and 7am most days.

James Herriott
Operations Manager

James joins the team at Chevron in 2022 as our yard hand. He graduated University in 2017 with a bachelor of science in geology.

Despite this James' heart has all ways been in cars. He recalls a time in his childhood when his father would take him around the city to different car yards to see all the cars, he had picked out of the newspaper classifieds the day before. Beginning a lifelong obsession with anything on four wheels.

When James' thoughts aren't about cars you will often find him thinking about them in a much smaller scale. He is often adding to his ever-growing Hot Wheels collection much to his partners disappear. A collection he one day dreams about turning into full scale.

James enjoys much of his time off out attempting to regain control of his garden with the help of his cats Percy and George.
